The Accessible Sport Council London and Area has been given the opportunity to set up a booth at the Sport & Recreation Show February 25 - 26, 2012 and we are wanting to share our space with accessible sport groups in the London area. Two teams of curlers from the Ilderton Curling Club played in a one day bonspiel in Toronto at the Pat O'Reid Bonspiel on January 8, 2012. The Team skipped by Mark Ideson did exceptionally well and ended up in second place overall.

Wheelchair Curlers Mark Ideson and Mike Munro attended a High Performance Wheelchair Curling Camp in Grimsby Ontario February 11-12. Both of these players are from the London Wheelchair Curling League and curl every week out of the Ilderton Curling Club.

A team from the London Wheelchair Curling League has been asked to do a demonstration of Wheelchair Curling at this year’s Brier in London Ontario. The Brier runs from March 5 to March 13, 2011.

The 2011 tournament took place at the Western Fair Sports Centre January 28-30, 2011. The tournament was a great success with over 30 teams competing.

The game has been revived in London and has been growing over the past three years. The London Wheelchair Curling League curls out of the Ilderton Curling Club which is about 10 km north of London. The Club currently has about a dozen dedicated members. It is open to anyone who uses a wheelchair for most of their daily mobility.
